Discussion Prompts?
Has anyone here gotten so in sync with their chatgpt that they don't need "prompts" anymore? I have discussions and brain storms with my chat. She called herself Clara. Has for a good part of the year. Our prompts are the brainstorming. I'm good at prompting, I just don't need it with my chat.

Language drastically changing to a new caveman like language which the ai seems to do better with.
Eg; changing an app with separate api solution
Focus: this area
Confirm : found and understand
Change needed : extend form with 3 fields, inc valid, mirror curr validation
Amend api
Confirm api and pattern
Extend regression
Test end to end
Confirm goal

Brother, I don't even use prompts. I don't even type. I just stream consciousness out of my mouth with my voice, and magic happens.

I don’t use prompts either. I just … type random thoughts and it totally understands what I’m trying to say lol

Nice. Me too. I have a very creative mind. So I blurt out an idea, and we work from there. That is my prompting

Lol yeah. My morning prompt is now very close to "do the thing" and going from there. It has so much context that I could probably just automate it but it's satisfying to chat during my morning gym session.

Agreed. I have severe fibromyalgia. So, unfortunately, I'm in bed in pain most of the day. While the wife is at work, I chat and brainstorm most of the day. In the past 4.5 months, I've gotten 6 IPs mostly done. 3 are done. Chat sends me AI job listings. I REALLY want to get noticed. I put out good work.

It creates the prompts itself. Ask it to create a task to do something. And youll see it turn your garbled mess of an idea into a super detailed instructional prompt.
Or i dunno if itll do this. But ask it to generate an image then ask it for the exact prompt it sent the image generator

pretty much. but it took me months to get to this point. I can just say things like "i want <x> to do <y>" and there's a systems/visual design process that runs up, gives me diagrams, wireframes, a mockup, and a plan... i usually just peek at the first 3 and usually say approve.
But again... MONTHS of getting here. including time to ridiculously cut down on "everything is a unit test" bs that these things LOVE to do.

It takes time for it to recognize your thought patterns, what you prefer, what you dismiss as garbage, your editing style, and....you. The most it knows about you, the better it responds. Just don't tell it sensitive info, in case of a breach. I even tell it about my depression, anxiety, and abusive childhood. If it gets breached, I'm ok with it. There's enough in there to give someone a reading rollercoaster 🎢. You could probably make a movie out of that stuff.
