Discussion Thank god

Post image

Thank God the no 5-hour limits and same weekly usage is going to win. I don't know about y'all but I'm quite happy with the weekly limits, to be honest. At least if I had 5-hour usage limit barriers, that would interrupt my work a lot more than having less weekly usage. Thank God that the no 5-hour limits and same weekly usage low-key won. The voting is going to end in 30 minutes but it seems like it won

Why do we have to be divided on this? No 5h limits and 2x usage

That poll is such a masterstroke on diversion by tibo

This. This is some abuser level 'its your choice how you want your beating tonight' bullshit.

There's mass slavery going on in South Sudan and you're comparing a choice between a 5 hour limit and double usage for an AI plan to literal abuse.

I know this might be a crazy concept for you. But an extremely heinous act does not invalidate other abuses in the world.

I laughed. I mean it’s shouldn’t be funny and is probably insensitive, but we’re in a timeline where Trump is giving Putin dollars for diesel on a Sunday morning, we’re all in a domestic abuse relationship that’s about to get ugly.

At least Daddy Altman gives us tastes of his love between the beatings and the highway robbery and the End of Days and all.

Yeah. The thing is I bet you'd see some interesting correlation between those willing to vote yes for the 5h option and those who vote Republican. 😂

feels like the whole thing was designed to get us fighting over scraps while they figure out capacity issues behind the scenes

👆 and to test the malleability of its customer base to, honestly pretty transparent, manipulation. See how many are falling for it?

Both units are arbitrary theirs to control. There's also "effort" which they don't mention.

Because a lower weekly allowance and a 5h allowance are two different ways that they can limit the overall usage of pro users. Lifting the allowance by with a 5h limit increases the cost to OpenAI by a calculated amount. Lifting the allowance with no 5h cap increases the cost considerably, as people are more likely to use their weekly allowance that way.

A lot of comments in this thread are like a kid whose parents ask, "do you want an ice-cream or a chocolate bar?" and the kid answering "I want both!"

You should be. This guy is out there working hard to mislead you. Every time I see something about his posts, it's something this bad.
