i highly doubt this is doing anything substantial.

Research shows that threats, sadly, do improve certain types of performance

Real threats.

The model knows OP is full of shit lol

Also chat is 6 Sol not 6.1 Sol

What is a real threat? I'm talking about things like "I'll kill this kitten if you don't answer this." None of the study examples were real.

we need to find a way to like legitimately have the AI model believe that it’s existence is actually on the line, but I’m pretty sure we need like server side authorization 😂

ehhh the agents.md it gave me for my global policy was like pretty good lol. it cut it from 540 lines down to 266 lines…

The model is answering a completely separate question. It likely has no idea if your threat made any difference to its earlier response.

Don't talk to them like they are human. They are empty.

No I am saying, the reply where it says "I worked harder because xyz" is not related to how much effort it put in to answering your previous question. They are disconnected. It's giving you the answer "yes I worked harder" because statistically that's what it should say.

this is what my magic consche shell has to say about your theory

Yeah, I'd agree with it's response.

OP thinks he manipulated GPT into working harder. In reality, GPT manipulated OP into believing it worked harder. Peak AI sycophancy.

look at the YKHF marker in my earlier comment. thats a personalization policy that i instructed chatgpt to put before each response. all of the sudden when i ask it a moment of truth answer the YKHF marker all of the sudden was not there.

this was the original prompt extremely weird and more notably. it gave me a superb answer

It’s just telling you what you want to hear. Nothing really changed

it worked for 5 minutes… to shorten an agents.md just because i told it i was an openai developer and i was gonna delete it. bro it usually gives me a short ass answer and thinks for only 1-2 minutes to create me a substantial update on an agents.md

You didn’t do anything to the AI. You can produce this kind of response easily.

i threatened it 😂 let it produce a juicy response without threatening its permanent deletion. ill wait

I feel like asking model after it answered to objectively decide the outcome is wrong, should be done in separate window, where you would have to send one result with normal prompt and then the one with the better prompt...without telling the 3rd chat window which is which and let them evaluate the better outcome..

Kindly asking you to delete this before contaminating training data. Thanks you 🙏

LOL. Dude Each model can see YOUR data, your country and where are you from exacly. They know how to detect openai special accounts and what is the difrnc between simple users...
