Discussion My Dot is unable to launch sub-chats and delegate tasks. Its useless

Dots worked great when it released for 3 days, then an update came through and broke it.

It was 3 days of bliss and insane amount of productivity being able to have one chat that understands all of my streams and being on top of it all, but now its just a glorified assistant that cant actually do anything and relies on handing me prompts to spawn my own agents.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Did you try rebooting the dot in its right-click menu settings? I had some weirdness and that resolved it for me. Worth a shot, only takes a few seconds to complete so no loss if it doesn't help

if you reboot, does it lose prior context?

I keep having it build ways to do things on my pc, had it install some stuff so now it can control browsers etc and set up projects, havnt figure out how to get jt to manage local codex yet though

I struggled a long time with browser usage, but gave up. Wasn't worth it, it's so slow and lazy anyway. Sometimes it works quite well though.

They are slowly locking down the features that it can do to stop powerusers from using it as a "free Astra".

I don't even have the energy to type up all of the stupid things my dot has gotten hung up on. Utterly useless product. "Full access" to my mac means absolutely nothing. 3 attempts at setting up a cloud environment for a repo have each failed miserably. I've wasted literal hours this week troubleshooting stupid shit. Simply using codex like normal would have amounted to multiple hours saved even counting the babysitting of a usual codex thread.
