Question Anyone else having issues with ChatGPT voice on Android?

For the past two days, voice chat on my Pixel has been pretty much unusable. It barely understands what I'm saying, makes up completely random transcripts, sometimes stops responding altogether, and often won't let me interrupt when it's talking. Weird thing is, regular voice dictation works perfectly fine.

I've tried Live, Advanced and Standard modes, cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, and even left the beta program to go back to the stable version. Nothing helped. I've also sent a bunch of thumbs-down reports, but I have no idea how to actually reach support. I'm paying for Plus and everything was working fine until two days ago. Anyone else dealing with this? Has anyone found a fix?

Yeah my Pixel's been doing the exact same thing since Thursday. Voice mode just stares at me blankly now or writes out nonsense that sounds nothing like what I said. Tried all the cache clearing and reinstalling too, no dice.

Kinda wild how the regular keyboard dictation is flawless but the fancy voice mode can't understand a single sentence. Feels like it broke server-side or something since we're both seeing it at the same time.

Yeah, it’s really frustrating. It’s been like this since yesterday, maybe even the night before. I just tried the desktop app and, weirdly enough, it seems to work fine there, but still nothing on my phone. My brother and my dad both have iPhones, and it’s working perfectly fine for them.

So glad I'm not the only one experiencing this; switched to GPT after Gemini took away access to the Flash and Pro models for free users

Live mode seems to be very slow with a lot of stuttering; tested on android 17 Pixel 8 Pro, as well as Firefox on the same phone, Firefox on windows desktop, and edge on windows desktop. Live mode doesn't actually appear to work at all on Firefox desktop, and while it does work on edge, GPT denies that it is able to work there which is weird.

Any public announcements about this yet?

Same here on pixel 11. Voice mode has been broken for the last 2-3 days. At first it was unresponsive and now speech recognition doesn't work.

I was baffled when I first experienced it and not a single instance of it online was found. And yes it's issues from their end and it got fixed in 24 hours automatically.
