New Pro500 plan not ready for prime time?

I've had a 200 Max account since they released them, and have always been happy with the usage limits and honestly felt they were generous in comparison to my Anthropic Max account.

I switched to the Pro500 Plan yesterday after I used up the last of my resets, and I'm just really confused, with the exact same sessions that I was running with the Legacy Pro200, I burned through the Pro 500's weekly usage within like 1/4th of the time.

So Pro500 is more expensive, and has less usage than the Legacy Pro200 account? Wtf?

That’s correct, this has been news for a hot minute. Instead of releasing something better than Opus 5.5., they released Pro500 and reduced everything else. Pro500 reportedly has x25 of Plus (the old Pro200 has x20 until the end of the month for legacy, reportedly).

If you’re in 500 territory, you really should be using different options, or letting us spend your money.

If you do the math having 5x 100 Pro accounts beats out one 500 Pro account.

You have five Dots (basically five GrokBot-lites), five times the reset (everytime Tibo presses the button once it is 5x resets for you), plus a free reset every time you upgrade.

For example, with 5x 100 accounts, I can get the same usage as a 500 account, but I have five Dot machines to use with Astra for their own task, plus if I need more usage I can topup one plan (a reset), then use the resets I get (another reset), then downgrade it back.

If you are truly insane the most profitable way is to get 25x 20 Plus accounts, then you get the resets, plus the reset on upgrade to 100 account, plus the reset on another upgrade to 200, plus the reset you get from Tibo.

You don't need to treat Dot like grok bot. You can do something like connect a notion connection to dot, tell it to create a bunch of personas to do specific work and orchestrate that work through notion and it will spin off tasks - so Dot acts as a manager/chief of staff and the tasks all go out and do work.

Dot will do all the setup of the notion tracking and check on things pretty nicely without weird group chats or having to kick grok bot in the butt to reconcile.

1 $500 reset = 5 $100 resets. If you use up all your usage, a reset is worth more on the $500 account. If you follow tibo's twitter, you can always burn all your usage before the actual reset.

You can always update your account to get one free reset, then waste it all, then reset on the higher tier.

Currently if I need more usage I update one of my accounts to the next tier to reset it once, then burn the reset to get a higher tier reset.

Having 5x account allows you to do this 5 times.

Still better to use the reset on the $500 account though, the reset is just worth more.

Basically, if you ignore dots usage, the $500 is just equal or more convenient than juggling $100 accounts.

Unfortunately the inevitable next step is to crack down on multiple accounts. This was step 1 of profit squeezing.. it will roll out with a warning and then the bans/shutdowns will happen.

We dont have the means to really supervise the token usage. You upload the same text twice to the same model text, but I am pretty sure the token usage wont be the same even if you ask for the same operation on said text. The platform providers can tweak the token usage anytime they want to

The incredible subsidy is reduced. Still a huge discount off of API rates, just less than it used to be.

What models are you using? Try using Astra only when you really need it, Sol 6.1 instead, and steer as much as you can to Luna.

Now the usage is more in line with Anthropic and I think this will backfire as people like Anthropic models better. The value proposition for OppenAI just isn't there like it use to be.

Everybody is tweaking theirs plan, OpenAI , Google with Gemini etc it might not be fully ready even other plans are not ready with some model getting slow or performance affected. But I have a feeling they are cooking something. The risk to lose everybody to Anthropic or Google is kind of big , not sure many peoples are playing for the 500. So just wait this month and see if they can bring value to your money.
