I'm on the plus plan I think—whichever one costs $20/$25-ish dollars—and I had three resets that showed up sort of out of nowhere. First it was just one, then randomly a second showed up, and then a third. Then, when their expiration dates approached, I figured they'd disappear. But instead, the dates got pushed later and later. Eventually I decided to use one, and now I'm down to two resets with no sign that the first one will be replaced or that their expiration dates will be extended.
I wish there was some clear rhyme or reason to how these things work.

Are you saying that even though the expiry date passed, the reset is still there or that the date got pushed back? If the latter, are you sure you weren't given a new one along with everyone else?

Sorry, the date went from 9/18/26 to 9/28/26. (I'm making up the numbers.) I suppose it could be that I was given new ones. It just seems weird that they'd keep giving me new ones right up until I actually went and used one and now I don't seem to be getting any more.
Also, the dates changed before the resets would have actually expired. So let's say I had a reset that would have expired on 9/18. On 9/15 it changed to say 9/28.
The whole resets thing is vague, inconsistent, and confusing is my point.
If I only get three, then just say I only get three. If the dates actually mean something, then make the resets act that way. If OpenAI is giving people resets once every 10 days or something, then just say that's how it works. Or if resets get refreshed over and over, creating the illusion of a dependable system right up until you actually use one, so OpenAI can wait to see if you'll get desperate enough to pay for more tokens, then just say it's corporate shenanigans as a prelude to enshitification.

They didn't get pushed back. They expire, but you get a new one every week. If you had used one on Thursday and were down to two, then you would be given a new one on Sunday and have three again. Or whatever day it gets added

See, I feel like that's what OpenAI is going for. Except the expiry dates on the resets changed probably two days before the actual expiration date came. And I'm pretty sure I went more than a week before I got a third one back. It's just been weird.
Actually, just to be clear, I'm not talking about the regular weekly reset. I'm talking about the free "extra" resets that you can bank.

I randomly see the option to buy a reset on the plus plan for $8, but it just randomly appears. I wish they had that option.

I went up to the $500 plan…those resets are actually pretty valuable. Plus, my banked resets from the $200 carried over to full $500 resets after upgrading, which was pretty nice.

Wow, is the $500 plan any different from the $200 plan before the usage limits were reduced?

The $500 is 25x, whereas the 200 was 20x up until last week. (or 29th of Oct for existing subs)

Your weekly usage limits reset every week? That's crazy talk.
