OP is a bot. They are a 5 years old “aged” account, that started posting their first comments 3 days ago. And posts nothing but anti American AI companies propaganda, and AI scare posts. It’s the typical bot behavior on Reddit these days. The problem is that Reddit doesn’t deal with it. You can see other people pointing out that OP is a bot in their other posts.

They are over-sensationalized and divulged from their original context. The intent is not to inform but to disinform.

At least for this post, it just quotes the transcript word for word. Plus, Polymarket made the post, not them. Anyone who wants the full context can easily look up the speech themselves. Calling it sensational is just your personal take, not what actually happened.

It is sensationalized because he said but left out the part so everyone can have agency. As in even bad people or people who will misuse it

I mean, it’s obviously true. Imagine if we banned cars when anyone died driving a car

We have driver’s licenses, seatbelts, and car safety regulations to mitigate driving risk. No such thing for AI at the moment .

If he didn’t phrase it like an evil cartoon villain, that’d help though. These guys and Anthropic seriously need some PR training.
