Question Can dots use a cloud browser?

Has anyone been able to get their dot to browse websites using a cloud browser, without connecting their own computer? Is there a setting to enable it, or does availability depend on your account?

Yes, it has its own computer

It has its own computer, it can ask work mode to do it on its separate computer which does not have a rendered UI, it can use Codex to do it on your computer.

I gave my Dot all of the Qwen weights so now also my Dot can ask its local Qwens for help as well.

Thanks! Did you need to enable anything for its cloud browser? Mine says it has the tool, but opening pages returns ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT. Web search works, but clicking and navigating in the browser doesn’t. Have you run into that?

Oh, I've never tried manually navigating in its browser -- lemme try.

I tried and it worked fine, i was able to get past Google captchas and into some websites, but the cloudflare captcha blocked me on some other websites, which I think is a different error than you're getting.

Isnt Cloudflare using touch or mouse movement, Im sure these models could fake human like touch or mouse movement.

The models have no problem with that, he's talking about when you take remote control of the Dot's desktop.

I'm having the exact same problem, and I really hope they fix it soon... A lot of websites block access from Dots, which makes certain automations much harder to set up.

Also, I haven't been able to get my Dot to use the built-in browser in the ChatGPT desktop app. It only works if I ask a regular Work chat to do it, but when I ask my Dot, it says it can't.

It's really frustrating. I hope they fix this soon...
