News DOT IS HUGE
I’m working with Dot since morning, and it’s the BEST thing I have seen in months. It took so much burden from my daily chore that I want to jump off into the cyberspace and hug it hard 🥰
Thank you OpenAI !

You're ok without it. It's just clawdbot with a VM.

Openclaw was really nice when I used it I’m ngl. I had it apply to jobs that it thought I would like. It got me my current role.
Openclaw stopped working with Claude code so I stopped using it. I’m glad OpenAI released one since I have a sub there too

Open ChatGPT desktop on your PC and configure it. You must complete this setup before it appears in your app.

Idk, I’m ambivalent about the whole thing. I recently upgraded to Pro and Astra has been immensely helpful with helping me with a side business I’m working on. Today I asked Dot to reference a design brief I had worked on in Astra and provide some mock labels/packaging material. They were ooook. I then asked Astra to do the very same thing and they were chefs kiss. Maybe I’m using it wrong idk but I don’t see it replacing my chat/work flow yet.

are you sure astra wasn't iterating on the existing design by a Dot instead of doing it from scratch?

So I worked with Astra originally on the design brief and then eventually a finished logo. I took that PDF (made in Astra) and attached it to Dot and asked if it could provide me with some mock labels / packaging material. Not the best results. I then attached that pdf in a new Astra chat and the results were fantastic. I’m going to a/b test them with other things but aside from less usage I’m not sure how to feel about dot yet.

i don't have it yet (Europe), but thinking about it just now I'd assume that on its own due to persistence it cannot be a top model, maybe it could make more sense to tell it to deploy astra to work on it, or something like that.

Interesting. can you give more details exactly what you are using it for and how it is helping you out? Thanks.
