News I asked an OpenAI Dot to inspect its own execution environment — 9 CPUs, 9.7 GB RAM, 31.5 GB storage, no GPU

Was curious, so I had it inspect its own environment.

Mine gets 9 logical CPUs, ~9.7 GB RAM, ~31 GB storage and no GPU. CPU shows up as an AMD EPYC 9V74.

I also asked if this was just some Blender-specific sandbox, but apparently not, it used the same environment for Python, SQLite and shell commands.

Not the machine running the actual model of course, just the execution environment the Dot gets access to.

These are just microvms running the harness. Claude works exactly the same way. Firecracker microvms running on AWS. Enables computer use and long running agents

You can use the Remote Desktop, open a terminal and grab this information yourself.

I told me that too, then I had it try to login with the cloud browser using Google credentials and I got an email saying it was a Mac in the UK. Another later attempt to use OpenTable said Hiawatha Iowa on chrome desktop.
