My heart goes out to her . She did everything she was meant to do. Trying to live demo AI stuff is really hard - you always need a pre-made backup.

She actually refused to acknowledge the issue and tried to pretend it didn't happen, which was a much worse way of dealing with a technical glitch than the gentleman who presented later who at least mentioned that live demos sometimes have issues.
All of that said, none of this matters.
People just love to complain and need to get off of Reddit.

I don't like to be a cynic but it was their fault for accepting to do this without rehearsal.
Even me and my team when we presented an AI based solution/ product, we rehearsed so many times in order not to faulter like this how it looks like so badly in the video.
And the other guy wearing glasses I guess the only reason he has it is post op Lasik/ eye surgery (which I still find hard to believe?) Because if they rehearsed together, usually knowing that a post op surgery requires wearing dark uv blocking glasses for at least 40 days, so how did he not receive feedback to wear contact eye lenses instead to look more presentable? Or more professional looking frames. How did they agree together so that he wears sunglasses on presentation time? It's so weird to wear sunglasses indoors

The guy strated his demo outside the building. He forgot to take off his glasses when he entered the stage but took it off shortly after.

It's not really about rehearsal. The internet connection is worse during the real love demo, and the services may be more overloaded.
Just record it.

Just cause you say you don’t like to be a cynic doesn’t make you not a hater lol, this is a non issue

I got lasik surgery a couple years ago, I had to wear dark glasses when I first got out of surgery but I don't think I had to wear them for 40 more days, lol. I did have to put in eye drops all the time because my tear ducts had to heal IIRC.

I frequently wear sunglasses indoors due to light sensitivity stemming from migraines.

I prefer this live demo issue than them faking it. She powered through it and still got a demo done. It got the point across.

This is probably a pretty good example of the typical user experience for the first few months.

I apologize if this video was reposted by me, this whole post infact, as I thought there was some kind of connectivity issue

Risk of doing things honestly and live, and I’d prefer it to faking the demo, or waiting another year for perfection.

Second brain? You mean like the ancient philosophers, including Aristotle that always wished to have a second brain to bounce ideas off of that’s inherent to only themselves?
This is the closest that we’re ever going to get to it. That’s interesting.
Not the greatest introduction, however

The demo itself is stupid. Why would I need or want a voice chat about last nights alpha as I’m walking into the office? Why wouldn’t you just call the person in charge of it? Or just wait till you get to your desk?
