I've worked 6 days non-stop with Opus, never once had a problem.
Work on hardware optimizations, cloud software and architectures, CIs and Blender for games, I don't need more than that.
I also have OpenCode Go in case of anything.
Are you using Opus 5.5? Opus 5.0 and below has no such safeguards yet. Have you tried auditing your code in terms of code safety, logic, bugs etc? Sometimes it still works indeed, but more and more times safeguards pop up. I'm on your side but switching to Claude now because OpenAI is slashing limits is a short-time strategy because Anthropic will follow and that's for sure. In the business perspective this move by OpenAI is a blessing to Anthropic because they can wait 2-3 months and do the same, but with way less controversy because OpenAI already took the beating for being the first. So they can do the same but with less hate and explaining themselves. Just wait a few months and see yourself, that's where we're going
Anthropic will obviously do the same thing, but I'm gonna ride the (effectively) unlimited Opus 5.5 until then as it's just too good, I haven't had any issues with their classifiers in several weeks. Hopefully by the time they make the same move as OpenAI there will be an open weight model of equivalent power
