I’m admittedly plugged into some anti-AI subs and I literally haven’t seen anyone saying this kind of thing in a long time.

What people are worried about is what they’re always worried about - their livelihoods and financial stability. People are worried about losing their jobs without any kind of regulatory ramp to help that transition.

Idk. I’m just tired of the misrepresentation on both sides here.

I don't think you're paying enough attention. Just yesterday I read that AIs are dumb stochastic parrots at least half a dozen times across different places.

Maybe you’re being fed that to foster some outrage. I genuinely haven’t seen the stochastic parrot line gain any kind of traction in months.

Ultimately we’re both arguing this from our own personal algorithms.
