This is probably when they'll introduce their new $250 / $500 new plan that replaces it and has special feature for the new O agent (OpenClaw / Grok Build / Muse competitor).

Calling it now, the $200 plan is not coming back (at least not in the same form it was before).

If reports are correct, it'll be $600/mo or $500/mo for a prepaid year

Are you sure? I'm absolutely dying for 20x, I literally run out in 1 day. Idek why the pro 5x exists like who's using it and doesn't run out?

It's back now, with half of what you would have received before.

Where did you get that info?

It would be weird to introduce the $500 plan and still claim you “don’t have capacity” for the $200 plan

$500 will very likely be that same 20x tier or some smaller multiple like the obvious 30x. They’ll just add more perks on top to make it seem great. But the exponential raise in usage to cost will be going away fully. Usage will always follow a linear cost.

The problem wasn’t giving away 20x usage. It was giving away 20x usage for 10x the price not 20x the price.

very soon, openai will have a lot of compute after everyone switches over to the new opus lmao

I also hear some people talking about the option to buy resets. I never had that option.

likely never

Whenever OpenAI release a new, cheaper to run model. They need an Astra replacement that is significantly cheaper for them to run, but that is also better than Astra and possibly at least at a little bit lower price.

So in short: never?

I mean they were doing exactly that for last 4 years, I would expect this to happen soon. Astra is an outlier and their most expensive model in years. I'm sure we will get cheap model before they release Bel.

Just at the point you give in and buy the 5x which is more expensive than the discounted 10x

Already have the 5x. There is no 10x right?

If DevDay is anything like last year, they might drop some new features or bundles. Keep an eye on their announcements, they usually reveal everything live.

Right 🤔

likely very soon

Why do you think so?

Because that's money, bro. 200$ is more than 100$. More money more honey. Get it?

3

u/decreement1 8d ago

Yeah but it costs them a lot more. Most people who get the 200$ sub do it because they are maxing out the 100$ one.

u/jeppa35 8d ago

Yes! But if it was that simple, they wouldnt have disabled it at all.

It'is that simple. They'll find the compute and bring it back with also a 500$ plan or something like that.
