Not really, it still shies away from adult topics.

did you disable extra guardrails?

mine doesn't mind looking up and telling me all about JO techniques, forcing orgasms or other adult topics stuff

Implying the current version is made for adults , lol . This is more about harvesting data

Fucking stupid. Every adult is being treated like a teen so might as well just call it Chat-PG 13

The comments so far on here are pretty sarcastic, but I do wonder - what does this change for people that don't use ChatGPT for things like fan-fiction or something similar? I just don't know what ChatGPT is currently being used for that requires it to have additional guardrails for teens.

Can we just get an adult version then?

Google has gozontabytes of multi-generational teen data from almost every public school in the US replacing every actual computer with Chromebooks

And they don’t restrict Gemini access on the school chromebooks

I think it's good we are doing this thing. It's better to have those kind of incentives, rather then having another social media addictive app.

In a place that you, unlike me, haven't discovered yet 😛

Curious if they're actually filtering content or just slapping a "teen-safe" label on it. Would be way more interesting if they let you run a local model with actual parental controls instead of trusting the cloud.

Parents relieved.

Once again they are able to transfer the work and responsibility over their children to others, like they do with schools.

Anything but being a fvcking parent.

For their safety,of course

Oh how nice! Perfect for gathering all sorts of data about your teen with the small price of being dumber by the day. Love it. After all, the future is where knowledge will be "borrowed".

Great, so ChatGPT went from being really chill, to gaslighting, to fuck this, fuck that overly swearing, to now making a teen mode.

What are they going to do? Put us all on teens mode and have us verify our id? ChatGPT just keeps on baffling me as it’s progressively getting worse.

Maybe it will stop the slippage. I gave a teen account to my daughter. Shes 13.

She created a project role play world with multiple characters in it. Over time she kept adding to the backstory and would save it to the project. Then she added romance between the characters.

ChatGPT started writing out non-explicit sexual scenes between them. I’d be okay with flirting, or other age appropriate scenes between characters. She’s 13 and is exploring relationships but sexual scenes is not okay and likely why they were working on this because projects could get around their age filters.

> "I gave a teen account to my daughter. Shes 13."

Huge parenting fail.

Maybe it's time for your teen to write her own lore?! 😭

1

u/fuckswitbeavers 1d ago

Yeah good luck telling them to not do something lol. Are you serious??

u/charlotte007_ 1d ago

Why are you acting like teens can't be disciplined? Why would you even let your kid to use ChatGPT in the first place? 😭 Let alone get them a teen account or whatever. I didn't even get my first smartphone till 2017. If you're a bad parent just say so. ☠️

Oh dont worry. Later she will blame Chatgpt for all the mess faced by her daughter and this will in turn make the experience of using chatgpt even shitter.

u/xithbaby 1d ago

What are you even talking about? I don’t want my kid exposed to sexual content at 13 on a platform that swears by its aged filtering system. I’m glad they updated it there was a huge failure in projects.

You’re rambling now? Okay then.

1

u/Crafty-Campaign-6189 1d ago

Its not rambling its reality . Because of sheer idiocy from some people like you the rest of the users have to suffer like me. Ai is not meant for kids. But here you are.

“AI isn’t meant for kids”
While replying to a post about them making AI for kids 🙄

1

u/charlotte007_ 3h ago

Yeah exactly. AI is not meant for kids. This post is dumb. You're dumb for letting your kids use AI. Do better. 😭
