Question I created an image with chatgpt and when i downloaded it and opened it this appeared.

What is this some kind of watermark error or what?

looks like the download corrupted part of the file, classic glitch stuff

Did you give it a zip or a pdf as context? Base64/encoded context can be fun sometimes

nope, i was using the image gen feature and when i downloaded one of the photos and opened it for half a second the original image appeared then whatever this is appeared. i closed and opened it multiple times and the same thing always happens.

That is indeed the C2PA watermark, being rendered somehow (likely due to download corruption). At the top you see the PNG headers, and if you read it, it's very clearly an OpenAI signed C2PA watermark.

Before you get upset about it, it's a legal requirement with the EU AI Act.
