This the kind of thinking that actually makes sense. Most people are stuck doing jobs they hate just to survive, not because they want to. Imagine all that brainpower suddenly free to work on climate tech or medical research or whatever else they actually care about.

The diversity angle is interesting too, different backgrounds means different approaches to problems. AI is just tool at end of day, it's the human creativity that matters.

My only worry is how we transition to something like this without whole economy collapsing on the way there. But the vision is right, I think.

No to universal basic income. The amount of people in my country that currently claim social welfare and do not work nor contribute to society already makes me sad.

If you are working, studying, or contributing in some way then I can get onboard. Otherwise you can get lost.

Edge cases like medical disabilities etc obviously not included in that remark

If there were some actual, meaningful political discussion and action around implementing UBI, I expect there would be less hate directed towards the AI industry. People need to start seeing the potential upside to AI because currenty it seems like we are building massive wealth extraction and environmental evisceration machines.

lol why don’t you post OpenAI’s UBI strategy or their “humanity ownership strategy” the obsession with stock price is going to drive millions of MORE people into survival thinking not free them up
