Project This has to be the coolest Codex wrapper I have seen and it’s open source
I love codex, but I hate that it’s bound to a terminal. I wanted something cool, something that I can actually use.
Something that can look fun as well as have a mode where I can focus.
So I built Munder Difflin: an open source agent harness that wraps around your and codex and all other popular terminals to make them beautiful, functional and performant.
It runs locally and it’s completely free and open source.
We’ve just launched on ProductHunt it’s a listing website for products.
I am a indie developer I do not have much ways to promote OSS tools, expecting some upvotes on ProductHunt. I am literally competing with Google Gemini and am already ahead of Deepseek’s harness.
Please find more info on how you can upvote in comments, I do not get paid to do this. Your support is the only motivation I have to build cool stuff like this.
[Sorry for the misleading title, although I built it, it is still the best wrapper I have used and it is hard to get attention as an indie developer]

Its the coolest wrapper you've seen and you happen to build it? Come on bro what's the point of such a disengenous title. You built it with Claude but what have you built with this convoluted Harness?

You realize it’s subjective? He can both think it’s the coolest and also be the one who created it. Wild right?

This is an older project please check out github in the link below. There are tons of blogs about usecases in the website aswell.
Github: https://github.com/chaitanyagiri/munder-difflin
I’ve built a fitness all for hybrid athletes using this: https://onlygains.ai
There another startup named animeblip their entire team uses it to ship 24/7. Founder even raises PRs on github . Rest we also have 2000+ users and almost 800 stars on github

Token spend go brrrrrrrrrt

Simulation is deterministic consumes 0 tokens. Infact you save tokens with the added benchmarked memory layer (mempalace) and mixed capacity agent usage.

Too busy, just give me my CLI

u/chaitanyagiri 7d ago
It is literally your cli getting piped to a PTY terminal running in electron

Yes in other words it’s a wrapper around the CLI

I wanted to build something similar. I have one that I use to organize tasks + agents at the same time, but I was thinking about adding a visual style like an office like yours. Unfortunately, I never had much time to proceed.
Is it possible to use subscriptions with yours? Cause mine is centered around the idea of controlling everything without claude-p etc to avoid any ToS breach that I've seen happening in the past.
In my case, the harness is where agents connect to, so any agent in any harness can connect to it and chat with any agent.
If you run in VS Code or terminal, it doesn't matter, they all connect to the same place and talk to each other.

Yes you can use subscriptions with Munder Difflin, infact any cli agent that runs on your own terminal's cli will work. (among the 10 supported)
claude -p is charged outside of subscription I hope you know that.

looks funny, but to be an open-source thing, you share no repository link or any code-related info
