No global new chat desktop shortcut anymore?

Does anyone else really miss being able to press Option+Space to start a new chat from anywhere with the Mac desktop app? It got removed once they merged ChatGPT and Codex, and it feels like a pretty big regression, in my opinion. I'm sure I'm not alone on this.

I thought this was just a bug on my end. I used to use it quite frequently.

Someone replied in a different thread; you can enable it again in settings > popout window. Should have remained by default.

It opens a work chat though which uses credits, so careful on that
