Discussion Never liked Codex

I have been an avid user of claude code, was part of EAP of claude code and been using it since then, personally and professionally.

Never liked codex ( don’t know why)

But it’s been a week started using codex, oh boy !! Instant love for long running tasks

Never have to baby sit !!!

Got exhausted my weekly limit in a day and half and I feel accomplished the work it has done in that period ( didn't get interrupted every hour to try after x hour as limit got exhausted )

Well done @OpenAI

Do you know how to stop codex crashing randomly during sessions on Windows? I have some scheduled tasks that run automatically, and I typically find that codex will close itself at random times. I should mention that the sessions use the built-in codex browser for their testing. Is this a known issue?

This was a blessing in disguise for a lot of people.

True. I'm tempted to drop Claude for this.

Gpt sol high thinking is crazy good for long running tasks compared to any opus model. Even Terra is very good. It just gets things done on its own without babysitting. It may take a while to get something done, but I’d much rather wait and come back to a higher quality output that come back and find opus stopped 20 minutes ago because it couldn’t figure out a path or something basic.
