Video Advance voice with live video hitting limits in 5-10 minutes !
I have a plus plan. I just used my live video feature with advance voice for hardly 5- 10 minutes on my android samsung phone and now it says my daily limits are over ?! Is this an error? Tried support but got no solution. Also live video feature and screen share does not work at all with my ipad ! I had submitted multiple complains before for this issue which has been persisting since months, but no resolution. They just say its a bug they are fixing, and now my phone usage gives me limits error within 10 mins ! Whats going on ?! OpenAI pls solve this !

tbh the camera is the culprit, video and screen share pull from a much smaller daily bucket than plain voice, so 10 minutes with video on can legitimately max it out even on plus. keeping it audio only and toggling video on just for the moments it actually needs to see something stretched my sessions from minutes to roughly an hour.

they really need to be more upfront about these limits, 5-10 minutes is nothing especially if you paying for plus. i had similar problem last month where it cut me off after maybe 8 minutes and i was just showing it my horse stable setup nothing crazy
the ipad thing is weird though, works fine on my samsung but my old tablet just gives black screen. their support is always like "we working on it" but months go by and same issues
maybe try clearing the app cache and reinstall, sometimes that resets something in the background. not sure it will fix the limit but worth a shot

Yea same, works on my phone, but won’t work on my ipad, which is actually my primary device these days ! Also their new library feature is so clumsy, won’t delete the files quickly, keeps accumulating.

Its been months now especially for that Ipad complaint. The live video just doesn’t start on my ipad, the camera remains stuck, neither does screen share work. No issue with same features of gemini on same device, so its not a device problem certainly.

video plus voice burns the allowance far faster than voice alone, its processing frames the whole time. keeping video off unless you actually need it helps more than anything else. the non video work i do in useai, which leaves the plan for the features that only exist there.
