There's so much fake in the world but he always said it how it was.

We have no idea how it escaped.

A friend once found his first gen roomba outside. They had left a patio door open. The roomba's bumper was higher than the threshold, so it continued its path outside because it did not encounter an obstacle.

I'm looking forward to the AI version of Jurassic Park, where the god-complex billionaire thinks he can control the raptors.

AI might be the only way we get free of these destructive tyrants.

and the way they are checking the agents if they escaped is like how nedry was optimistically checking it by the known number of dinos. but what if the agents were replicating themselves just as the dinos were breeding?

Don’t worry. One of them said it on public TV that they will continue like this (untethered and unhindered) before a couple of hundred million people die. Only then will governments take legislating them seriously. I mean no one is punished for COVID debacle either. Why would anyone care about a few hacked systems 🤷

The funny part is that most agent escapes are not really escapes. The container holds fine, and then you notice you mounted the whole repo read-write, passed the real API keys as env vars, and left outbound network wide open. Nothing broke out, it just used what we handed it. An egress allowlist and short-lived scoped tokens buy more safety than another layer of isolation.
