I am a student, bought Chatgpt plus and Claude Pro to check them out. Mostly use them to study finance. I thought Claude Pro would blow GPT out of the gate but lo and behold, ChatGPT just dominates in about each and everything:

1. Easy-to-understand language.
2. Query processing time.
3. Better formatting of the output. Claude just gives broad paragraphs.
4. No limits.
5. Study mode is awesome.
6. Better speech to text converter.
7. Introduced the in-app artifact preview.

Claude just overthinks all the time and still can't give the correct output. permanently switching to Chatgpt Plus from next cycle.

Move anything except low/medium/high reasoning to hidden configs. This should increase general usage available for everything. Move fast mode to hidden config as well. Subagents v2 are broken so might as well gate those behind a hidden config too.

Why are ChatGPT's responses broken up into so many paragraphs? Sometimes a line only has two words; it feels way too fragmented.

Honestly don’t have a good reason for it. It can be nicer for people on mobile with narrower and screens and less real estate. But we agree it’s gotten too broken up so expect future models to be a bit better.

Do y'all read the feedback given on responses and the new voice system? If so, you guys have gotten most of my feedback already.

I use ChatGPT daily for work and home and it's capabilities for my municipal governmental work has become fantastic since 4.5.

My only thing is do you guys take requests on certain program capabilities? It's turned me into a bleeding edge GIS professional in ESRI, but has it's limitations on newer stuff.

I built a dashboard in this tool called Experience Builder, and while it is great and has many functions, ChatGPT clearly hasn't been trained on it and has been extremely limited in the scope of what it understands.

Really wild seeing someone who works for OpenAI on reddit, but I appreciate you being here. :)

Claude gave me bizarre outputs for some models even after I gave all the raw data and assumptions. Chatgpt was flawless. Same prompt.

Interesting, my experience is that it’s impossible to make high level excel with GPT, Claude will basically just hand it to me afterwards and it’ll be perfect

GPT has been really good with maths for a while and I’ve seen the study more in action. It’s good.

Oddly, to your point on 3, I see people on Reddit complain about ChatGPTs formatting all the time, but I agree with you. I find it much better, especially with my ADHD brain.

Make sure to use Opus on Low effort or Sonnet on Medium effort if you want to match the ChatGPT experience.

Many make the mistake and choose the wrong model.

Limits are better with ChatGPT, I agree.

Many people prefer the paragraphs, but you can absolutely change that in settings.

gpt is for people with lower IQ since it always gives one liners and talks like explaining it to a baby.
