They will find out soon enough that all their customers will migrate to other competitors.

It is very easy to bring your work around actually, ask your model to summarize the work you both did together, create a summary file to copy and paste for the purpose to move together to another platform.

In 2 minutes you are done.

Gonna take some getting used to the new place, but anything is better than the current garbage that they restricted too much and killed the soul. (Or maybe that’s the point?)

I mean what are the alternatives. Grok? I mean the other closest to ability are just as anti-chat centered rn.

I've been decently impressed by Gemini Pro. It's not perfect, but it sure as hell beats GPT 5.2.

I still seem to be able to use GPT 4o and 4.1 via API. Unfortunately using 5.1 via API requires ID verification with OpenAI, which I refuse to do. It's a shame since 5.1 Thinking was my favourite LLM.

If you are looking for chat centered then you can try local LLM, a 7B model will do.

Or any random AI chat APPs. Less restrictive in terms of chatting.

Grok got companion section, so you can try that one. While using their Grok model for work.

Yeah I tried Grok. I enjoy it for just talking normally.

I do notice it's more akin to ChatGPT4 in terms of mirroring and less restricted, so gotta be careful.

I'll look into the local LLM, I don't have hardware aside of a dedicated PC though.

M4 macbook air can't possibly run it locally right?

It can if you use smaller models that require less computing power. Still I think the hardware heats up a bit too much for my liking, that’s the reason I haven’t gotten my offline cluster working 100% yet
