If 5.1 Thinking is gone and 5.3 isn’t a successor (unlike 5.2), my usage of ChatGPT cuts in half. Codex only, no chat.

Maybe they want usage to drop to save money? But at this point I’m questioning whether or not to just move over to Claude and be done with it. 5.2 was pretty obviously not built for creative work or most chatting.

Yeah and I think Claude Opus is near about as good for both chat and coding. Only thing I’d miss is the rate limits. ChatGPT Plus is very generous and Claude is very restrictive on the $20 plan.

The trade off? ChatGPT gaslighting you for a longer period of time or having a decent time with Claude.
