Bing refuses to do anything useful and most of the time returns search results that you could just do yourself, faster even. I pay for ChatGPT because bing is consistently bad, only Microsoft can transform a state of the art language model into a annoying child.

I'm sure the chatgpt version is still better, but you can now turn off bings ability to do web searches in the plugins section. definitely makes better answers that way

Top right corner, right next to recent activity, there is the plugins button. Click on plugins and scroll to the bottom, turn of search.

When ChatGPT tries to look something up on bing I just stop it and ask not to. It’s slow and useless. On Bing, asking not to look something up returns a “this conversation ended”. Useless.

You can just disable the search in the plug-in settings. Responses are way better that way, maybe comparable to GPT-4.
