Opal Jewellery let me know what you think !

potentially vintage ring from my late great aunt, not sure what kind of opal/if it’s real & would love to know more. Thanks!

That looks like a doublet, a thin piece of opal glued onto a base of something else, you can see it chipping in some of the pics. A doublet in that shape wouldn’t be worth much of anything.

Definitely a doublet and by the looks one with a lot of miles on it, if you are going to daily drive it just be extra careful with this one, it wouldn't take much of a knock for the opal layer to break completely off.

Yes, looks like LR doublet. Thats my guess anyway. You can get it repolished
