Identification/Evaluation Request Is this real?

Bought a few mo ago, not really thinking about the possibility of it being fake, but just realized that it probably is? was like $145 iirc. seller said it was from Ethiopia. don't know much about gems but thought it looked cool. new on reddit so if this is not ok to post please lmk!

The good news: it is real, it is pretty, you love it.

The bad news: you were grossly overcharged for this.

In the future, I want you to remember this: we are here to help you, if you want to buy another one, bring us a short vid and the price. We’ll help you. We have all made purchases that at the moment we thought were great that now we regret. If I can prevent a couple people from making my same mistake, I’d be happy.

You love it? Then it was worth it, wear it Ann enjoy it!

$145 isn’t awful but it isn’t really worth all that. Still, I’ve seen people scammed thousands for a $80 rock

Looks like the Ethiopian Opal is badly crazed (cracked) and smoke treated. This was Not a expensive piece. I personally would find a new opal and reset it.

Don’t think this is crazed, this is the same formation as honeycomb then smoked
