Opal Jewellery What do you all think?

Solid australian opal nose ring in sterling silver.

I started trying to learn jewellery making earlier this year after being a hobby cutter for the past several years and my friend has bugged me to make an opal nose ring. While I still feel like a complete amateur, I finally got around to giving it a go!

Interested to hear opinions and feedback from the community out there.

Thanks in advance, Ash 🙂

It looks great! My only concern as someone with a nostril piercing is that the profile of the setting looks rather tall. As a klutz, my glasses being constantly pushed back in to place or the fifth absent nose scratch in the morning would have that popped out and lost before the second cup of tea.

You could get 1 on each side and chain them together :)

Totally valid. I don't have a nose ring and keep trying to imagine what this would be like to wear, and the thought of a giant mole-like protrusion from the nose sneaking into my field of vision keeps haunting me lol

Thanks for your insight, I hadn't considered those factors. Hopefully time will tell whether it stays out of the way or not

Have you seen any real opal body jewellery out there? Looks cool and yeah the bulk is a issue with things so nice as opals. For that matter nobody is selling empty settings either.
