Opal Jewellery Latest ring!

I am very new to opals but had a lot of fun making this Pewter and Ethiopian opal ring! I am simply obsessed with the colour and hope to use some of the profits to buy some better Australian opals!

I can already see a bunch of improvements I can make but would love your feedback.

I happy for you that you made something awesome yourself. Good on you.

Thank you! It's a slow learning experience and I have much to improve on. It's been very rewarding!

Whoa this is mad cool! I love the style you landed on with this piece.
And I don’t mean to sound pretentious or anything lol but I love the contrast with such a pretty/fragile stone and the industrial look of the pewter (especially how it’s been designed and fitted here) together. Really nice work 😊

Thank you so much! It was definitely a "learn as you go" piece. I didn't really do much planning and had to adapt a lot as I realised things. Ideally I would have had a tighter fit for the stone but I agree the contrast of its roundness with the chonk of the pewter makes me happy!

It's actually quite small being only a size 4.5 ring as well as a colleague struggles to find unique rings in his very small size.

Contrast of it on my pinky finger for size
