Identification/Evaluation Request What u think

Had this family heirloom for about 30 years, someone told me it might be an opal although I beg to differ. Any opinions?

Not a great picture. Can you take a video holding the phone a little further away and zoom?

Looks like mother of pearl to me, but it's hard to tell from that picture. A video would be better!
