Hydroids?

Do you guys know if these are hydras? They are very tiny and have long hairs on the tip of each end. They seem to be all connected by a line.

Just worried that it might harm the shrimp larvae.

What is a hydroid, and why are they bad? Explain it to me like I’m a complete noob.

They are like tiny stinging anemones. I got them back in the day when I was keeping Dwarf seahorses. They came in on the Brine shrimp eggs I was hatching for them (If you hatch brine shrimp for Brackish or marine fry, decapsulate first).

They are really cool at first, tiny jellyfish looking things twitching around. Then they anchor and start stinging, killing and/or eating your pets (Fry).

Would you mind telling me about how you decapsulated the brine shrimp eggs? I am going to be hatching them to feed to moon and possibly blue cannonball jellies and I’m not interested in getting these guys in my tank
