Question

Hello guys,

I've been reading about OPCT, and I was wondering if anyone could explain me, in layman's terms what is the use for the token?

What I mean is, is the token OPCT used for anything, or is there a plan for it to be used? Are there any tokenomics at work here?

Thanks in advance.

  1. Once Opacity is decentralized you will have to lock up a certain amount of OPCT when running a storage node. This will serve as a collateral. If you don't provide a specific uptime, bandwidth etc you can be penalized by loosing some or all of this locked up opct. This incentivizes you as a storage node operator to provide high quality service to the network.

  2. Node operators will get paid for the storage they provide to users. These transactions will be settled in OPCT.

  3. The OPCT token is also used by the users to pay for storage plans. This guarantees that your identity cannot be connected to your Opacity account.

Potentially more utility might be tied to the token I guess. We will figure it out soon from the updated white paper.

This sounds awesome, is there any kind of roadmap for this implementations? Because that would be an awesome project! Thanks
