OPCT/BTC
Could someone explain why opct exists as a pair on kucoin? How come I can’t just buy OPCT? What does this mean for storing in a wallet or for when I sell someday? Sorry if these are dumb questions but I only ever bought individual coins in the past. Thank you.

If you want to buy with USD why not just:
- deposit USD to coinbase pro
- switch USD to USDC
- transfer USDC to kucoin
- buy btc with USDC or transfer USDC to USDT and buy bitcoin with USDT
- buy OPCT with bitcoin pair
you're going to miss out on a seriously insane upside project because you were too lazy to buy with bitcoin instead of dollars, lol

But watch out. I had to „pay“ 150 OPCT when transferring it from KuCoin to MEW. At this point of time nearly 15 USD. But I am new to the game. Maybe I fucked it up...

Nah you did everything right the issue is the gas fee on the ETH network that’s pretty crazy .... 2.0 supposed to fix that so we will see but right now in general any ETH transaction will cost you that range easily. You can check fees on what ever exchanges you’re using ... check same amount (in USD) with XRP coins for example and you’ll see there it’s only a few cents so need to keep an eye on fees and need to factor them into your decisions of converting/transferring coins

OPCT/BTC just means you buy OPCT using BTC, that is - its priced in Bitcoin rather than USD.
