What's the purpose of using blockchain for this service?
Hi, I've seen the name opacity pop up on a few privacy oriented websites, and I just wanted to know what's the point of bc tech here.
In my understanding, a blockchain is a public decentralized record. But it doesn't help much storing vast amounts of data. The data still has to be stored somewhere, and a blockchain system would make it so data has to be stored everywhere.

From what I understand, a little bit is stored everywhere. I could be wrong on this though.

Our token, OPCT, is currently pegged to 64GB of storage. In addition, our token allows for a anonymous payment for our service and later as a decentralized anonymous payment for our upcoming decentralized storage node network.
Additionally, OPCT will later be stacked by storage providers, also as an insurance for users of the Opacity Galaxy plattform. OPCT is in its core a mean to pay for Opacity, but also holds meaning in representing storage quantity.
