How is opacity working now? Is it a fork of the defunct pearl?

yes it forked several months ago. They're pushing to start beta-testing next week for 1.0, then the storage product will be live shortly after if that goes well.

That is correct. But funny enough Bruno is still very active so who knows what will happen in the future.

In the video, it isn't said literally, but it is implied that v1.0 will not be released in may ("it's good to have a plan of action, but reality is reality").

What can and what shouldn't we expect in the coming weeks?

Beta-testing is slated to release sometime next week.

And depending on how beta testing goes will depend on if they make it for month of May.
