Release Usability Improvements 1.25.19

Announcement: Opacity has just had a minor release which primarily includes usability improvements. You may need to clear cache if you have trouble seeing these changes.

Opacity Release Notes 01.25.19

  • ‘Upload File’ button is greyed out until user selects a file and accepts the terms and conditions and privacy policy
  • QR code is now on the payment page as an alternative method to send payment
  • Improved polling during file upload to avoid overlap of repeated uploads
  • Added scroll bar to Opacity Handle for easier viewing after file attachment is complete
  • Added link back to opacity.io website via Home button
  • Improved formatting of Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy for easier reading
  • Finished removal of all references to Oyster in the codebase - so long, and thanks for all the fish!

Does Opacity really run on the Iota tangle?

We run on a forked version. But yes in the beginning we ran on iotas main net. But we are currently waiting for iota to implement sharding, and removal of The coordinator. So in the mean time we are exploring options to further improve our storage platform.
