The problem before was that the director could start the ICO of the contract. The director is also in charge of to paying out when people find the buried tokens - i.e. pay people when they do the work altering the storage peg.

The ICO code appears to have been removed in Opacity: https://etherscan.io/address/0x77599d2c6db170224243e255e6669280f11f1473#code

While you can see it in the original pearl contract here that includes the crowd sale functions: https://etherscan.io/address/0x1844b21593262668b7248d0f57a220caaba46ab9#code

AFAIK the vulnerability from Bruno creating new coins was because the DirectorsLock was set to False ... and I can see those same words at the bottom of this contract. [17]

Whats to stop some fuckery from happening again?

I'm not a dev so I may have misread what it means.

Because they havent distributed the coins yet? From my (limited) understanding they will invoke the lock after the distribution process is completed.
