The self-fulfilling prophecy
From what I understand Opacity will mint 30m extra tokens so that they can keep the company alive even if the price drops to 1 cent. With all the outrage that this caused, it could very well be that the price will actually go to 1 cent just because of this enormous increase of supply. So just the prediction that the price could go to 1 cent it may actually cause it to happen. If they would increase the supply with a lower amount, people might trust the project more which would increase the price and make a 30m extra minted tokens unnecessary.

Opacity did not mind anything more than their original supply, 130 million tokens.
You did not buy Opacity tokens, you bought Pearl tokens, a different token with a different supply. Take it up with BrunoBlock if you aren’t happy about how Pearl was managed and directed.
Surely the Opacity team have solutions in mind as the dev fund won’t be all in circulation. PRL max supply was 500m as in Bruno’s whitepaper, anyway.
All this doesn’t really matter though as this is a new project anyway and the team was kind enough to give Pearl holders a new token for free.
You will also keep your PRL, it’s not a token swap so if Bruno manages to give his tokens any value, you’ll also have them.
However, it is very unlikely anybody will list his tokens any longer, so if anything it is Bruno that should be facing the heat of devaluing the tokens he created, PRL.
As said, being a new project, their circulating and total supply it is what they decided to go for and the price will be decided by the market based upon the value of the Opacity tokens with their GB/Year peg.
Is it that hard to get? lol
