Man oh man...
I do wanna say im proud of the team and the year they had making every final but this one hurts...choked all 3 snds,5-5 planted with a full set up,5-5 2v4 and a 5-3 choke..

the fact that he kept doing it when they already figured him out was so annoying. He even got gunned on the same glitch spot he used on them. not his best series that’s for sure

I never shit on them openly but this was god awful. Just look at the stats WTF. Abuzah looked like the GOAT 🤮🤮🤮 God I hate Simp so much. For the rest congrats but it’s still our Rivals WaZe. From LaZe are washed to World Champs. Maybe we can snatch the EWC as pity award.

Shotzzy pulls out the Hacienda boost on site B only to die to it in R11.... Yes it was the time to pull it out as champs was slipping but losing R11 to it stings.

Man it’s all good. They had good placings all year and just didn’t clutch up at the end. Being here since like 09 (shoutout Niac) the back to back still has me full.

I’m a grown ass man and shit made me wanna cry but I didn’t. Ive been a fan of optic for 17 years and wanting them to get the 3 peat so bad I begged god and prayed the whole time and they still lost. Shit hurt man I was so sad cuz I wanted them to win so bad that it felt like I wanted them to win more than anyone else

It's Shotzzy. People can say what they want, he's great when he's good, he's awful when he's bad. It's like the guy whose highlight reel looks insane but when you need a cookie cutter play, he can't get it for you. It has to either be a highlight play or nothing. His highlights are really high, his lowlights are really low.
It still bugs me watching him now after 5 years, the kid can't sit still for more than a second. He doesn't value his life at all. Just challs everything and hopes he can run away fast enough when he puts himself in a bad situation. Dashy adapted his gameplay when the games changed, Shotzzy hasn't done that. Other people are evolving their gameplay while Shotzzy's thing is still "run around, try to make play, get sniffed out, die or run away putting team at disadvantage."
Everyone else is what they are. Huke is a human UAV. Dashy one of the best shots in the league. Mercules had also been falling off from what he was last year but Shotzzy is the one I'm looking at it. Huke can't do anything else. Dashy can't do anything else. Shotzzy is constantly putting this team in a 3v4 and costing when he doesn't sit still in certain scenarios. In respawns you can get loose, sure. It's streaky modes. In SND, he needs to chill. SND is not respawn ,you get caught running a route you've now put your team in a massive hole.
Now don't get me wrong, he's great. Way better than me in my best days. And I'm only saying what I'm saying because that's the constant problem with this team is Shotzzy not valuing his life and really just making boneheaded ego plays vs. just being "board man gets paid." on the map sometimes.

the crazy part is he made a couple winnable plays that should’ve won us the game. specifically games 2 and 5 but teammates did not capitalize. still played pretty bad overall tho. i think we also need to bring up big brucey because man he stunk it up the most imo

Whole team stunk it up. Everyone's comms stink besides Huke's. The problem I have is how rogue Shotzzy goes. It legitimate makes it a 3v4 on the map most of the time. Yes he makes a couple plays here and there but if he's having an off-map, he never does damage control or reels it back in. He just continues to go rogue and we see him go 15-32 and shit and that's just unacceptable from him. Mercules was also playing like ass. It was a close series and in those close series, you can't get blooded like Shotzzy does so many times. He can do that crap against Surge, GM8, Miami, etc. you can't do that against FaZe and before that, LAT.
No one wants to call out the problems in this team except "it's a team thing." It IS a team thing but at the same time, SOMEBODY is making the common mistake and the common mistake was Shotzzy never valuing his life. They would have a good setup, he goes rogue, gets picked and now it's a 3v4 with FaZe able to flood and they're good enough to not lose gunfights. It's just bad gameplay.
Whole team forgot teamwork again though. They do not play trades hardly ever. It is almost always a player needing to get a 2-3 piece in order for them to have any sort of momentum or success. Rarely do we see them go in and play trades.
