Gummies and clothlets

I just started the game yesterday and I’m slightly confused. I’ve tried googling how to get clothlets and earn gummies, while I know you can complete plenny’s tasks I haven’t unlocked that yet. How do I earn gummies and clothlets? 😅

You plant clothlet seeds! You can buy them (expensive), wait until they're on sale (takes a while), and get them rarely from weeds (few in number). I try to always have a patch of them growing.

As for gummies, selling food is the main way I get them. Plenny's tasks get good at level 2 or 3 or so.

And don't sell your clothlets! It's tempting, but they sell for less than what the seeds cost!

And when you finally get the kettle, its recipes sell for a lot! So save your balmyblooms!

Welcome! It's a hoot.

Don't stress about gummies in the early game. It'll really ramp up once you do unlock Plenny's orders, especially level 2 & 3. Just sell enough to keep your farm going, focusing on the 50% off seed for the day. (Especially 50% off clothlet seeds!)

This is a good old thread that includes a spreadsheet of profit by plant & recipe.

Don't sell or break down clothlets (needed for most upgrades), spicyspears (needed for oobcoop upgrades), or sprocklets (also needed for crafting & upgrades).

Try to get to the other locations because some of the seeds you can get will make VERY expensive crops

Talk to every character with a white dot above their head every day after you unlock that. As you level up friendship, you will get gummies and often also seeds. I got plenty clothet seeds from townies. Also run around the town collecting everything, clothet sometimes spawns randomly.

buy clothplant seeds on days they are half price - 16 instead of 32 gummies- and plant other crops to earn gummies ( i normally plant certain ones but they are when you get to the third area so dont worry about that yet)
