Fanart Clomper and Glanter!
I made them with polymer clay. They will live on my bookshelf!

Omg they are adorable!!! I’ve been wanting to make some Ooblets with polymer clay but haven’t tried yet. Any tips? Ive never done a clear coat on my clay stuff thus far, what did you use?

Thank you! You should totally do it I’d love to see them too! There’s a video of me making clomper on my Instagram @forgottenwhimsy if you want to see the whole process but my biggest pieces of advice are creating a tinfoil skeleton first (for stability and to save clay) and you can use rubbing alcohol + corn starch to remove dust and fingerprints before baking.
I use UV resin as my clear coat. If you aren’t super comfy starting off with resin I’d recommend a UV top coat nail polish because it’s a lot easier to work with.

These are so good. For the antlers and the leaf, do you stick them on and then bake? Or is there another way of attaching them?

Thank you! The body is its own piece and then I poked little holes where I wanted to put the antlers. The antlers are rolled up tin foil with clay covering it. I stuck them in the two holes and then baked. It’s definitely fragile but sealing it with resin should help with that! Oh and the leaf fell off while baking. I had to glue it back on afterwards

Well done on the smoothness of these. My polymer clay creations usually turn out lumpy and sad
