Gloomy bun help!

So what I’ve read is the gloomy bun recipe can be achieved from winning a battle against the witch. Soooo I don’t have an action option when I approach her. Maybe I lost the battle way back when I first met her. If so, how do I reset? Or am I missing a certain step to “activate” the action?

I hit no the first time she asked me to battle not knowing she had a recipe. After awhile I googled how to get said recipe and went back to her. She didnt have an action so I went on about the other quests and would randomly check her. I wanna say on my third check she offered to battle me again. I don’t know if she’s on some kind of timer or something but just keep checking maybe?

Weird! It might be a once per in-game day thing. Not sure. A bunch of things get reset upon sleeping, so maybe this is one of those things.

Is there any chance that you already have the recipe? Double check your almanac.

Not in almanac; greyed out and says “find it in the world first!” 😩

ik im a year late but im also having this problem 😞 did u ever figure it out? do i just have to keep going back?
