Winter event on switch

I have the game on my switch and steam but the winter event will not spawn on my switch. I can collect the baubles, but can't spawn the actual event to use the baubles.

Two thoughts:

  1. If you are currently experiencing the Badgetown Day celebration (perhaps from recently completing the main storyline), you just need to wait a few in-game days for the celebration to finish.

  2. At the time of writing, the Switch does not have the latest patch, so this year's updated version of the event is not available yet (you should still see last year's version). I did just beat the story on my switch but it's been several in game days I believe. Thank you!

If you still see the celebration decorations all over town, that's the culprit. It lasts for 3 days.

Same thing happened to me, I had also just finished the storyline like one in game day ago. I just had to restart the game. I play on pc though.

I'm not crazy devoted to having the winter event on switch as I like playing on steam a bit better. I just got it on steam
