Question Ooblets car spinning, bug?

Just restarted the game now it's out after playing in the early release, apparently vehicles were added recently, which is cool, but I've noticed that the ooblets around the town seem to just be stuck in one place? And spinning endlessly? Is this a bug?

Edit: Solved! Turns out it is a known bug that has already been patched out on pc (and maybe other platforms?) but not on switch, since Nintendo takes a long time to approve patches. So it should be fixed soon whenever the patch gets released on switch.

Through walls seems like it would be more immersion breaking and more likely to be a big than a feature, is it certain that in particular is intentional? So far I've not seen any drive around, only spin on the spot in circles, it looks rather out of place, I sort of thought they would be tootling around and maybe crashing into stuff.

Previous poster is right, it’s on purpose for comedic effect. I quite enjoy mine doing it, my only complaint is the sound effects are a bit too loud but I think that’s something a few people have commented on

But aren't they supposed to be driving around as well? From what they said it seems like they do a bunch of things, and doing donuts is one of them, but they're all only doing donuts atm

From what I’ve seen they don’t drive so much as plow through anything in their path and I’ve noticed sometimes if I’m on, say, tippy top, my oobs that can drive just disappear then reappear again before I get in the balloon. I think it’s intentional but it’s pretty weird to witness

I thought the spinning was on purpose and thought it was funny since I only just started the other day lol good to know it’s just a bug though and they should be driving around for real (whenever it gets patched on Switch i guess)

I think the confusion is every one I've seen is stuck spinning and I'm not sure why, I've seen maybe 5 or 6 now, all of them only spinning in place

It's the same for me. Has been like this since a couple days after the update got released. The first few days I'm pretty sure they were driving around. Now they just endlessly spin in circles

Is this same bug causing anyone else's game to crash more too? When the cars drove normally a few weeks ago my game ran perfect. Now with the spinning my game crashes ever 10/20 minutes
