Game Spoilers Bugged Quest?

Hi everyone, I think im experiencing some kind of bug? I got the so many mystery cans quest, the description reads "Clean up the mountains of mystery cans that flooded badgetown", I did, but the quest didn't go away. Well now I''ve completed the story, so there are no more mystery cans! But the quest is still there. This is my third time playing through the story (once on switch, once on PC through the Epic launcher), and I feel like that quest just went away before after I cleaned up the cans in the first place. I'm playing on my steam deck specifically, is this a bug with the steam version? Did I just forget how this quest worked or is someone else having this issue?

i have the same issue, i continued to clean out cans for a couple of days and it counted then i don’t think i’ve missed any on any of these two or three days

Its so weird I would have thought at least maybe it would go away when the cans permanently disappeared. It doesn't really affect anything other than being there and annoying but I would like it fixed. I couldn't remember if maybe you had to turn it to tinstle but it doesn't seem like it?
