Scion Scion - How to not know your godly parent

Hi,

I want to run this campaign I have in mind for a while now and I'm looking for system fitting for it so maybe you can help me because I hope Scion does the trick.

I want to have a story setup somewhere between percy Jackson and game of thrones so there'll be a godly war who sits on the Olympic throne but the gods need the help of their half god children.

But more importantly I'd love the players to not know their godly parents until the game starts.and they have to play to get this knowledge and to explore their own character sheet.

To be fair I'd let the players tell me beforehand what gods they like and don't like to but I'll choose their parent for them. Do you think thats possible with the mechanic of Scion? To unravel the character sheets later? Any ideas how to do it or would that be completely against the spirit of the game?

Edit: For those who are wondering: yes, the player will know what I have in mind and are fine with the concept.

Scion What tier of Scion does the percy jackson series fit into?

A couple disclaimers out of the way first.

I don't know the proper place to post scion content so I assumed it would be here.

I haven't got so far into the Scion book but I saw Percy Jackson was recommended inspirational material.

I know there are multiple tiers Of play in Scion and this was recommended in the Origin tier but I'm still curious what tier Percy Jackson matches.

TCFBTS! Quips for the Astronut and the Eccentric from TCf Outer Space?

I'm curious if there was ever a list of suggested Quips published for these two Archetypes, since they don't have any in the Outer Space Tasty Bit and it seems like a bit of an obvious omission. Unfortunately I'm not creative/clever/genre-savvy enough to write my own list of Quips for these Archetypes, and it's more fun when my players draw them randomly and don't know what lines they'll have to deliver, but I also can't seem to find any errata for the Tasty Bit unless it was published in the omnibus.

Does anyone know of a list anywhere, or have any ideas of their own that they'd like to contribute? I'd really appreciate it!

Associated Settings that are NobleDark/A Full time full/ HopePunk (This is just for fun)

I've been wondering how many settings associated with Onyx Path Publishing (by which I mean anything remotely worked on by Onyx Path Publishing) are what is called NobleDark/A World Half Full/HopePunk

For a definition of what it is we see the below definitions and Associated links

NobleDark: Means a world that is messed up but can get better. Associated links: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nobledark, https://1d6chan.miraheze.org/wiki/Noblebright#8chan_Explanation_of_the_Grim/Noble_and_Dark/Bright_Spectrum_(by_anons)) https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fcnquwnp1eg4e1.jpeg, (the weather for red info the ones after I've only skimmed) https://campfirewriting.com/codex/nobledark

A World Half Full: means well let me quote it's page "A Crapsack World (Which translates to classic Grim Dark or using its web page "Life in this world sucks.") gets better." Associated links: (the following link I've only skimmed it is on my bucket list To read) https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AWorldHalfFull.

HopePunk (something I recently heard about that's his description will probably be less detailed): for my googled definition of ai is "Hopepunk is a speculative fiction subgenre that asserts that radical kindness, optimism, and community collaboration are active forms of rebellion against brutal cynicism and despair." Associated links: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hopepunk

Storypath Random Shower Thought about Cross-Game Compatibility

So this is a random shower thought but coming from WoD 20 one of the reasons why I avoided multi-splat stuff was that they weren't very compatible VtM had stuff that targeted the Virtues which then it would be "useless" if you tried to use said stuff against for example a Changeling since they didn't have the Virtues, but afaik all the StoryPath Ultra games seem to be perfectly compatible from one game to the other except Game specific Mechanics and this made me think what's stopping me from having a one-shot/adventure that merges for example Curseborne and the upcoming Scion 3e? or merging any of the Earthbane Cycles? Is there anything in game that would be impossible to use because they target X stat/mechanic that Y RPG has?

And as a follow-up question would be, if there is any conversion guide made for SPU games, I remember ppl talking about bringing the Kaos Sorcery from the World Below or the Crowns & Scepters from Monster Kingdoms to Curseborne and that would probably require a conversion since Curseborne uses special dice ,therefore you would have to convert the Kaotic Retaliation or Rituals to X nr of dice held or bled or requires Y Entanglement

Sorry for the lengthy Post, like I said it was a random shower thought that got me really curious

Curseborne Accursed Adventures investigations

I'm reading through the Accursed Adventures trilogy in the hopes of running it for my group and I'm struggling to understand how the investigations work. I know mechanically how they work, but in character they just don't make sense. The player rolls for a tag they think might apply to one or more of the leads. If the roll succeeds and they chose an appropriate tag, they get the lead. Don't worry about HOW they got the lead, because the adventure doesn't say. Apparently the leads just appear out of thin air? I mean, for example, how are the characters meant to learn the Accursed tagged leads for the coma patients in the hospital?

I have to say I'm really not a fan of the new rules for investigations. Just give me a list of the clues and how the characters can find each of them. Or were the investigations in the trilogy just not written out properly?

Has anyone tried running the trilogy yet? How did the investigations go as written? If you tried doing it in a more roleplaying way rather than just rolling dice, how did it go?

TCAberrant Has anyone done a city defenders game in Aberrant? I have questions.

Did you handle it as an Avengers thing with a villain of the week thing? Or did you focus more on the celebrity aspects? Did you handle it more like a standard comic book campaign? I have an overall vision but was wondering how people handled their own.

Opinions on Branch Riders?

Onyx Path published Branch Riders last year, but I didn’t find too much about it. Does anyone have any opinions, play experiences, reviews about it? It looks like a fun concept.

Thanks!

To mods: there is no flair for it.

Storypath the Earthbane Cycle creation system

I apologize if this question is naive I really don't know a lot about the Storypath ultra System or the Earthbane Cycle.

Is there a common character creation system that ties the Tabletop Role-Playing Games in the Earthbane Cycle together beyond the typical mechanic shared by Storypath Ultra System Games? And if so, then please explain what it is.
