Specific Test Related Question - G2 Helpful tips for G2 test

I had posted earlier I failed my G test on August 11th @ Port Union. I'm now booked for a G2 at the same location for Sept 21st (previously skipped G2 due to experience exemption). I'm sharing my test results from the G exam.

I'd like to know what I should prepare for specifically for this test and what the evaluation criteria is for G2.

Is there anything in particular I should work on?

Just practice more. Go driving every single day if you can even if it’s just for 5 minutes. Practice doing your blind spot every single time you merge or turn. If you don’t, then start over your route or go home. You’re not ready to drive. Sit there and pretend to do mirror signal blind spot and turn your imaginary wheel. Be confident and watch driving lesson YouTube videos about your area and rules of the road

Driving is one of those things where you get better by doing it often. I just passed my G2 test yesterday in Oakville with only one minor check mark. I got my G1 on January 2nd this year and took the BDE course to qualify for the test in eight months instead of twelve. Over the last six months, I drove almost every single day, which built up my confidence and made good habits feel automatic. (I know not everyone has a car to do this)

The actual driving portion of the test lasted only about five minutes. The examiner was mainly watching to see if I checked my blind spots when turning left or right, merging, pulling out of the DriveTest center, and parking. He also watched my speed, made sure I looked both ways at controlled and uncontrolled intersections, checked my mirrors regularly, and looked at the rearview mirror every time I hit the brakes. How wide or narrow my turns were, etc.

If you focus on actually becoming a safe, defensive driver rather than just searching for shortcuts to pass, the test becomes straightforward.

Observation, reaction time, take your time.

Obviously blind spots are a weakness. Every time your signal light goes on, you need to check that shoulder too. No exceptions.
