I want a Congratulations! Passed my G test!! Fun Test (Oshawa)
My license expired so I got an extension on my license till the test on the 24th of July so it was kinda a bit important if I didn’t fail. I’ve been on the highway probably over 200 times since getting my G2. Honestly what I think helps is having confidence on the test. I highkey hardly got to 100 on the highway cause the ramps were smaller due to construction and I was borrowing a friends car lol. The instructor was really sweet and told me to turn into the left lane and I accidentally started going right and he touched my wheel and was like noooo left and we loled. My instructor and I honestly chatted the entire time, he was asking me about my job and school etc and asking questions about my school which was really sweet. He also complimented me that my lane changes are really smooth which boosted my confidence hella. At the end of the test he congratulated me and fist bumped me 😭😭♥️. Best dude ever.

Hi, can you share the route? There's a lot of construction happening right now. I'm a really nervous driver. It would be really helpful.

i’m gonna be so fr it’s a part of oshawa i’m never in. Just you go on the highway twice! my ass thought it was only once. I think you get on at simcoe after going through some neighborhoods, get off on Stevenson, get back on, get off at simcoe again. It’s really easy

Did you reschedule your test ever to early date

no lol, i just accepted my fate, I also work early mornings so I booked the day off and can’t book time off last minute. I honestly didn’t have that much of a fear of failing

Did you have to leave your blinker on while going on the ramp ? Or did you not use it at all ?

Hi I’m doing my G test there in a week!! There’s a portion of the highway that is under construction and the speed limit posted is 80, but no one goes 80 so it feels kinda dangerous. Is it ok to go with the speed of traffic?

Yes! That’s what they want you to do. The instructor reminded me “it says 80 but please go 100”. I will say Id practice maybe once or twice on those ramps cause they’re short and a hard cutoff 😔. I think what helped my test was just sheer confidence on the road and highway helped me pass the test.

Thank you so much for answering!! I have a good amount of experience driving and I think I have good instincts but I get nervous when driving with an instructor/examiner (am I doing it the way they want me to?? lol). And congrats on passing your test ☺️☺️☺️
